Regenerative Medicine

Intra-Articular Injections
For pets managing osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease, or recovering from injuries, targeted joint injections can provide meaningful relief and slow the progression of damage at the source. We currently offer the following injectable options:
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) — Ardent Animal Health
PRP therapy uses a concentrated preparation of the patient’s own platelets, which are rich in growth factors, to stimulate tissue repair and reduce inflammation within the joint. Because it is derived from the patient’s own blood, PRP is well-tolerated and works with the body’s natural healing processes. It is particularly well-suited for dogs with joint injuries, mild to moderate osteoarthritis, or those seeking to complement other rehabilitation therapies.
Hydrogel Joint Injections — Arthramid and Spryng
We offer two hydrogel intra-articular injection options that work by reinforcing the synovium, the membrane lining of the joint, helping to restore the joint environment, cushion articular surfaces, and slow the mechanical progression of osteoarthritis.
- Arthramid — A polyacrylamide hydrogel that integrates into the synovial membrane, providing long-lasting structural support within the joint. Well-established in equine medicine and increasingly used in canine patients.
- Spryng — An innovative intra-articular hydrogel designed to reinforce the synovium and support joint health in dogs with osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease.
Hydrogel injections require mild sedation for most patients and can provide lasting benefit for 8 to 16 months. This makes them a great option for those who have not found adequate relief from other approaches or who do not tolerate other treatments or medications well.
AniCell Biotech — Embryonically Derived Tissue Therapy
AniCell Biotech represents a uniquely powerful addition to our regenerative medicine offerings. AniCell products are derived from equine amniotic material, a bioscaffold rich in growth factors, cytokines, and structural proteins that support the body’s natural healing processes without the addition of synthetic chemicals.
Unlike traditional joint-targeted therapies, AniCell’s whole-body regenerative injection is designed to support systemic healing and recovery. We are actively performing AniCell injections at our center and have seen promising results across a range of conditions, including:
- Osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease
- Wound healing and tissue repair
- Kidney failure and organ support
- Post-surgical recovery
- Neurological conditions and other injuries and ailments
AniCell’s acellular approach means there is no risk of rejection. The product supports healing without introducing live cells, and is all-natural, chemical-free, and suitable for use alongside other therapies in our integrative treatment plans.
Is Regenerative Medicine Right for Your Pet?
Regenerative therapies are particularly well-suited for pets who:
- Are managing osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease
- Have not achieved adequate pain relief through conventional or other integrative approaches
- Are recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgery
- Are living with chronic inflammatory conditions
- Have been diagnosed with kidney disease or other systemic conditions that may benefit from whole-body regenerative support
The right treatment depends entirely on your pet’s individual diagnosis, health history, and goals. During a consultation, we will review your companion’s records, perform a thorough assessment, and discuss which regenerative options, or combination of options, are the best fit.
What to Expect
Regenerative injections are minimally invasive and well-tolerated by patients. Depending on the therapy selected, your pet may need a brief series of treatments or a single injection, with results observed over a period of days to weeks as the body’s healing response takes effect. We monitor each patient’s progress and adjust the plan as needed.
Regenerative medicine works best as part of a comprehensive, multimodal treatment approach. We often combine these therapies with rehabilitation sessions, laser therapy, acupuncture, and other modalities for the most meaningful and lasting outcomes.
